Confession of a (hopefully) brainwashed previous twilighter

Okay, here is my confession… I’m not proud…

No, this is not good! I have to order the book tomorrow! I NEED TO KNOOOOW!

I finished Twilight today and I saw the movie tonight! :D The book was really good and the movie was really good as well! Everyone has to read the book and watch the movie! xD

I'm a Twilight-fan, I think.

This was unfortunately me a year ago… I cannot say that I am proud of myself… From now on: Do not listen to what I am saying… ever again.. Because someone may have brainwashed me (again), because that must be the case, or what else could it be? Either that or the Imperius curse... someone who feels guilty?

I hope I was either brainwashed or under the Imperius curse, because otherwise… I do not know how I could ever forgive myself for anything I said/wrote about Twilight a year ago. However, I am glad that I finally woke up. Now I do understand the real thing of Twilight… It is NOT nearly as good as I suggested…

But do not take me wrong! I still think the books are okay, they are just not as good as a "the-best-book-in-the-world book". If you understand. ;-)

Voldemort, on the other hand, is a rather interesting character.

The same thing with Bellatrix Lestrange, she is interesting... (I HATE HER!)

Good night!

Tone of choice

So, I'd better follow Miss M's and T's example. I will now write a musical reaction to Twilight just the length needed to describe the book and its fantastic plot.

Finding a fitting song wasn't quite the hard choice I'd thought it to be (and that was not a hard one), and I doubt the needing of an explaination to it this time. I give you:

Electric Light Orchestra - Twilight!

Lyrics (oh, this is absolutely hilarious...)

The visions dancing in my mind
The early dawn, the shades of time
Twilight crawling through my windowpane
Am I awake or do I dream?
The strangest pictures I have seen
Night is day and twilight's gone away

With your head held high and your scarlet lies
You came down to me from the open skies
It's either real or it's a dream
There's nothing that is in between...

Twilight, I only meant to stay awhile
Twilight, I gave you time to steal my mind
Away from me.

Across the night I saw your face
You disappeared without a trace
You brought me here, but can you take me back?
Inside the image of your light
That now is day and once was night
You lead me here and then you go away.

Twilight, I only meant to stay awhile
Twilight, I gave you time to steal my mind
Away from me.

(You brought me here, but can you take me back again?)

With your head held high and your scarlet lies
You came down to me from the open skies

Twilight, I only meant to stay awhile
Twilight, I only meant to stay awhile
Twilight, Twilight, Twilight, Twilight.

P.S: In the second verse, think about the scene where Edward sneaks into Bella's room at night to watch her sleep. The lyrics simply fit too well...

P.S. 2: I mustn't forget to do a Twilight music video to this one, I really mustn't...! D.S.

Prepare yourself for some musical reaction!

The book I used was “dying bites” by D.D Barant and the music I selected was “from yesterday” by 30 seconds from mars. It was hard to find music that fits in with the book but when I found “from yesterday” we can say I got a vision.
From the book I selected the part when Jace visits the evil god Ghatanothoas temple for the first time, and suddenly understand what the murderer is planning. His plan is to release the god and make him feed on vampires and werewolves all over the world to make them pay for what they did to the human kind. But Jace manages to save those people by reading a “spell” out loud that makes Ghatanothoa unable to make more harm.

The reason I selected “from Yesterday” was because in some parts of the song text it feel like they are singing about this evil god Ghatanothoa.

This is the song text:

He's a stranger to some

And a vision to none
He can never get enough, Get enough of the one

For a fortune he'd quit
But it's hard to admit
How it ends and begins
On his face is a map of the world(A map of the world)
On his face is a map of the world(A map of the world)
From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to read the message here

On a mountain he sits, not of gold but of shit
through the blood he can look, see the life that he took
From council of oneHe'll decide when he's done with the innocent

On his face is a map of the world(A map of the world)
On his face is a map of the world(A map of the world)
From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to read the message
He doesn't want to read the message
Doesn't want to read the message here

On his face is a map of the world

From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to read the message here
From yesterday,
From yesterday,
From yesterday, the fear
From yesterday,
From yesterday
But he doesn't want to read the message
But he doesn't want to read the message
But he doesn't want to read the message here.

To show how I think I will now do a pretty far-fetched explanation.

For example not so many people remember this god in the book but those who do that fears him, another thing is the message the song text tells us about that he doesn’t want to read I interprets that the message is the spell Jace uses to chase him away. And the last thing why I selected from yesterday is from the part where they sing “through the blood he can look, see the life that he took from council of one, He'll decide when he's done with the innocent” this piece of the song text was the first words that caught my interest when I was going to choose song/music to this work and for me it resemble Ghatanothoa perfect, because he turns vampires and werewolves into living mummies and lives on them until they dies.

That’s why I thought “from yesterday” and “Dying bites” fitted together.

Enjoy the music!

Darn Sensom

Once - that being one of three times - the Earth was created in a flouroscent purple plastic bag. This was kept a secret. Accordingly, no one found out for several years, until time was invented, and incidental accidents occured, smoothly steaming out into regularity. Then matter, as a matter of fact, popped out of nowhere, and suddenly red shirts were lying flying in vacuum in the shapes of disguised noses. With mice camping in panic at his grubby feet a salmon looked bewildered at his own eyes from a distance, and quickly threw himself out a window. Consequently, a pair of one one-eyed boot became an imminent threat to the bumptious army man; one-eyed because it had only seen half the moon, boot because a damp grey sock had been nailed to its bottom, and threat because it had ears, covering his rounded nose, nearly half the size of a basketball court. They thought of evil. "Look what foolishness I've done, doing nothing but longing for security!" said the man, terrified at the sight of the boot. "Can you ever forgive me?" he cried, falling to his knees, only to realize that he had none. So he fell and fell, infinite amounts of endless years whirling past his mind in gusts of grief - until he reached eternity, swung round and danced his way home, just in time for tea.

Comment on "Third time (un)lucky by Ms. B. A.

Now I have finally taken time to write a comment, even though I only have 17 minutes until Medium starts.

Bea! I think you did a great job with your third post! You always does a great job. But this was great! You are discussing the theme on a good way. I really like the fact that Edward would be busted easier if he went to the doctor, but that would only work if his "dad" was not the doctor. But I think he would let the Count go as well, to protect their kind.
Anyway, you describe the things about Dracula in a good way, you mention that he is not a superhero whithout weaknesses like Edward. And it is true that humans can be allergic to sun... Well, my skin (and yours I've heard) does not like sun that much, it gets burned, red and it hurts really much, sometimes it feels like it is on fire, lucky for us, it is not. I think the vampires have a bit more sensitive skin than you and me.
I do not agree with you on the garlic thing! You asked who liked garlic, and I have an answer: I LOVE GARLIC!!! (If you are a vampire and read this you should know that I love vampires too!)
I agree with you on the adamantine skin-thing. He would be busted faster than he could... kiss Bella...
But I think the superpower the vampires have makes it more fun and it would not be that much action without the "superpowers". The powers are kind of important in the following books.
But the fact that twilight-vampires have no liquids in their bodies, I can agree with you, it was not logic at all to explain it that way. I am sure that a good author could have made up a better solution.
